10 injured, 3 legislation enforcement officials damage after gunfire erupts in Charleston, S.C.

Ten individuals were injured, 4 critically, and three regulation enforcement officials had been hurt Monday evening after gunfire erupted in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, in response to police. 

Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg called the Memorial Day rampage a mass taking pictures, saying "we’re counting our blessings that nobody on this incident was killed."

“There’s numerous weapons that have been fired. Handguns, lengthy weapons, 223 rounds. These suspects were identified as Ayesha McGee and Tahira McGee, NBC affiliate of WCBD of Charleston reported, citing reviews from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office. 

Ayesha McGee was charged with third-degree assault and battery and Tahira McGee with second-degree assault and battery and resisting arrest. 

Officials said more arrests are expected.

Officers said South Road from Nassau Road to Drake Road and America Street from Reid Street to Mary Street within the area will stay closed to course of the capturing scene.

The mayor condemned gun violence in the city and throughout the nation, a nod to the Buffalo, New York, grocery store taking pictures and the Uvalde, Texas, school taking pictures.

“I don’t find out about you but I’m mad about it. I’m fed up,” Tecklenburg mentioned. “Enough is sufficient."

Tecklenburg announced an 8-point plan to address gun violence that includes graduated penalties for gun crimes, promoting safer firearm use, and shutting down events with out proper permits.
