The family of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed throughout the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law known as me and she or he was just crying, like 'I think it just hit Miah. I think every part came to actuality now,'" mentioned Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her friends and classmates have been also targeted.

Rivera mentioned that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she could fake she was useless," stated Rivera. Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.
