EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 occasions the legal alcohol limit after at the least 5 folks referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Predominant Road exit. They say the crash brought about a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver saved going.
Other callers say the motive force was everywhere in the road and now lacking a front tire.
They are saying he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Workers informed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a transportable breath test.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is dealing with several charges.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
