Talking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward until I really feel higher concerning the route of our nation."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action towards gun violence in the United States.Kerr refused to speak about basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, instead elevating his voice as he railed towards gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm tired. I am so uninterested in getting up right here and providing condolences to the devastated households that are out there ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Enough."
