Speaking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I feel better about the direction of our country."

In a blog submit, Kapler questioned whether the country's leadership is dedicated to representing its individuals's finest pursuits and whether the United States is really "the land of the free and the home of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked mother and father making an attempt to prepare to charge in to cease the shooter, together with a father who discovered his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra vital than our kids's freedom to go to highschool without needing bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he known as "the lack of delivery of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I might have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that while you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it's known through protest. The home of the courageous should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' collection towards the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"In the final 10 days, we have had elderly Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have youngsters murdered in school," Kerr informed reporters at the beginning of the press convention.

"When are we going to do something? I'm drained. I'm so tired of getting up right here and providing condolences to the devastated households which are on the market ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Sufficient."
