Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” signs found in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "faculty shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of charges. 

An elevated quantity of police officers had been positioned at faculties within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Division of Safety said, however they decided there is no such thing as a credible risk at the moment.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection department released a photograph of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of felony threatening and three misdemeanor costs together with false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and legal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
