Russian spy aircraft violates Swedish air space

A Russian reconnaissance plane briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish defense officers said on Saturday, as the Scandinavian country ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller plane violated Swedish airspace on Friday night,” the Swedish protection ministry stated in a statement, including that its groups had followed the incident and photographed it.
The ministry said the aircraft was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island within the Baltic, earlier than it headed towards Swedish territory.
“It is totally unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public tv SVT quoted Protection Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the final security scenario very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty should at all times be respected.”
