Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it inside the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world together with several different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the school or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
