Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm along with several different businesses in an try to find him.
The teenager was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
