The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Independent Faculty District police force are not cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary College and the state's evaluation of the legislation enforcement response, multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Impartial Faculty District didn't instantly reply to requests for comment from ABC Information.

Based on sources, the choice to stop cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a information convention Friday throughout which he mentioned the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious choice" and contrary to protocol.
