The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent College District police power are not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Safety's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary School and the state's evaluation of the law enforcement response, multiple regulation enforcement sources tell ABC News.
The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Impartial School District didn't instantly respond to requests for comment from ABC News.
In accordance with sources, the decision to stop cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news convention Friday during which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious decision" and opposite to protocol.
