Russian spy aircraft violates Swedish air area

A Russian reconnaissance aircraft briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish defense officials said on Saturday, because the Scandinavian country ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller aircraft violated Swedish airspace on Friday evening,” the Swedish defense ministry mentioned in a statement, including that its groups had followed the incident and photographed it.
The ministry stated the plane was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island within the Baltic, earlier than it headed toward Swedish territory.
“It's completely unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public tv SVT quoted Protection Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the general safety scenario very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty must always be revered.”
