Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of many alleged gang members who opened fire in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an residence advanced, the Sacramento Police Division stated in a press release Saturday evening.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Department worked with our detectives for weeks in an effort to find Payton,” the assertion said.

It wasn’t known Sunday if Payton has an attorney who may communicate on his behalf.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, had been charged this month with homicide in the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.

Investigators supplied no motive however said in court docket documents that Smiley Martin and his companions recorded a web-based video hours before the taking pictures, flashing weapons and speaking trash from a location in rival gang territory.
